Organic Food Certificates

Organic farming is an environmentally friendly way of cultivating the land and raising livestock without using toxic chemicals (fertilisers, pesticides, herbicides) or genetically modified seeds. This agriculture does not force the fertility or the animal feeding cycles. Its aim is to obtain healthy food at their optimal stage of ripeness, with full flavour, aroma, nutrients and always respecting the environment.

Organic farming and livestock are both regulated by a European legislation (Regulation (EC) No 834/2007) which sets out production standards and rules on labelling and checks on products, from field to the final consumer.

Freshvana is regulated by the Organic Farming Council of the Region of Murcia.

Murcia has a long tradition of organic growing and has pioneered the production of fruits, vegetables, rice, grapes, almonds and cereals since the 1970s. Its wonderful climate and the quality of its soils together with the expertise of our farmers make our region an ideal place for organic farming.
